MOONCAKE FESTIVAL IS HERE
The Definations -Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as “Harvest Festival”, which is one of the most well known Chinese Festival none other than the “moon festival”
The Date -The date of Mid-autumn Festival also known as Chinese Moon Festival is on the 15th moon day of 8th Chinese lunar month (Chicken month). Since the new moon day is the first day of a Chinese Lunar Month. The first day of 8th lunar month in the year 2001 is 17th September 2001, the Moon Festival is on 1st October 2001.
This is a day to worship the moon god. According to folk legend, this day is also the birthday of the earth god (T'u-ti Kung). This festival signals that the year's hard work in the fields will soon come to an end, with only the harvest left to attend to. People use this opportunity to express their gratitude to heaven (represented by the moon) and earth (symbolized by the earth god) for the blessings they have enjoyed over the past year. The Chinese believe in praying to the moon god for protection, family unity, and good fortune. The round "moon cakes" eaten on this festival are symbolic of family unity and closeness. Pomelos are also eaten on this day. The Chinese word for "pomelo" or "grapefruit" is yu, which is homophonous with the word for "protection," yu, expressing the hope that the moon god give them protection. Moon gazing is another essential part of this festival. On this day, the moon is at its roundest and brightest. This is also a time for lovers to tryst and pray for togetherness, symbolized by the roundness of the moon. Unlike most other Chinese festivals, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a low-key holiday, characterized by peace and elegance

The Bengs and Lians
We are familiar with complex sexual display in males, and theories as to how such indulgence can be an evolutionarily justified use of resources. But little attention has been paid to the female's role. The Ah Lian is a good model in which to address the question: as well as behavioural displays, Ah Bengs attract females with decoration displays on the rides (commonly Cheebics, Getz or Vios), a unique breed of cars known for their high ratios between loud and performance. And it seems that Ah Lian’s behavior can be a factor in maintaining complex displays in Ah Bengs. Manipulation of a male display trait (Product Stickers on the car body e.g. HKS, Momo, Recaro, Brembo) shows that in the initial stages of mate choice, all Ah Lians respond to this decoration. But in the later stages, younger females continue to focus on stickers while older females use Ah Beng behavioral display to choose a mate.
It was thought that the use of vocalizations by males to attract mates and defend territories is widespread in birds but uncommon in mammals. This is untrue according to the WTIC Research group. In the Night spots Ghin Nah Breed of Singaporean males defend small territories in and around their mediocre rides and produce complex audible “vocalizations”. During the night, Ah Lians move about within these territories, and Bengs with Lians in their territories have higher ONS success than Bengs without Lians. To determine call function, we recorded Beng’s vocalizations on the Clubbing scene around Zouk and made behavioural observations of the focal Bengs and nearby Bengs at the time the calls were given. Noisy Techno Beats were directed mainly at other bengs whereas Chinese Pop (e.g Andy Lau etc) were used primarily in interactions with Lians. Two other types of music coming out of the rides were given independently of any observable context and may be involved in territorial defence or conspecific notification.

Safest car for JB
OVERTAKING LANE - Kar Cheng
Heehee, I agree.. I am also a tailgater, I only tailgate if its overtaking lane and the car in front is hogging with clear traffic ahead. I will first highbeam and if it does not work I will tap horn, then proceed to do both. If the driver still persists I will overtake then brake, then I will proceed to roadhog and let the driver feel how its like being behind a road hogger. All these provided traffic is clear and does not cause obstruction to others, otherwise I will just overtake and cut in then tap brakes and speed off. Well I dare say I have not road hogged, and even if I was travelling 120~140km/h on lane 1 and a faster vechicle came up from behind I WILL ALWAYS GIVE WAY...

Tuscatfish - some general knowledge...
Tuscatfish (order Siluriformes) are a diverse group of car-fish. Named for their prominent "barbles", which give the image of cat-like whiskers, they are found in primarily highway or expressway environments of all kinds, with species on every Asian continent except countries that don't import Koreans. Some species from the families Ariidae and Plotosidae are also found in Asian environments. Not all Tuscatfish families have barbels; what defines a fish as being in the Siluriformes order are certain features of the hood and wierd bumper designs. These Tuscatfish may have enhanced (aftermarket) gills but the internal lungs are small and limited. Due to genetic limitation it's overall health and resistance is very bad thus it's often called "can see but CMI" - Reporter for WTIC
Stop Whining .....
Are we all the victim of our environment?
Some may say that they have no choice and the world as a whole leaves them no other options.. We see people who are successful and people who barely make enough for their meals. Two extreme ends of the spectrum but all in the same environment (generally).
Are opportunities the same? I believe so.
So what happened along the way? Are we born unequal? Are there genetic codes for smart people and codes for losers? I don’t quite think so. Or maybe along the way some alien in the guise of a hot model abducted you and inserted something into your brain that makes you stupid ... as I see it we can sum it up to that of making decisions ... we are making decisions every single second of our lives ...picture yourself in a middle of a maze ...every single turn and every single step determines the outcome or where you will be the next minute. So I believe people who turn out crappy in life have either made sloppy decisions or live life without making any decision...however a maze is intertwined where you can turn “Shitty” to “success”, the catch is: time ... the hourglass is emptying itself every single Pico second.
In other words the world is the platform where individuals are trapped within their own little maze and trying to get out. So which part of the maze are you at right now?
So to the 90% (Published stats) of Singaporeans who makes less than $5000 a month, don’t blame the world for not making more, don’t blame your teacher or your parents …blame your freaking coconut brain in your skull …you haven’t made the right choices ..So keep making em.
