Beware ....
Haze came and went, weather is changing from humid and hot to more humid and hot… the mood here overall took a backseat and sort of on cruise control anticipating the couple of public holidays that are upcoming …
Christmas seems to be the big one that many are waiting for.
But then again the toils seem the same …
Life is not getting any easier.
There are many entrepreneurs in the market …some come up with ingenious products and solutions others comes up with a lame gimmick and half assed marketing to sell a feel good idea to the gullible few.
These days you can’t believe in what you read or see … many gimmicks shows poorly written technical notes which sole purpose is to confuse the minds of the gullible and most of all the uneducated … some like to slap a couple of bogus or meaningless Dyno charts to justify that their “gadgets” can indeed add horsepower to your car ….
Many fail to understand that nothing comes cheap … and all these small devices are merely useless bull being added into their expensive rides and risking a total melt-down of their engine and delicate computer systems …this is what Icall sad.
At the end of the day the cheap half-assed marketing gets to you … especially true for “gadgets” made by backyard companies without any investments whatsoever in real R&D due to their limited capital… Putting stuff into your car not only poses risks to your property (car) but also carries a certain amount of risk to your well being …. Imagine doing 180 on the freeway and suddenly your entire engine shuts down and you loose all control to the vehicle? That’s totally unimaginable but can happen to the gullible ones.
Like medication you wouldn’t take any drugs brewed in someone’s backyard with the neighbors’ cat being the only clinical trial subject?
But frankly we can’t really blame the gullible as many people in
However, it’s fair to trust manufacturers who have the mass to support their claims – e.g. Pivot voltage stabilizer. These companies are indeed large enough to have the capacity to QA their products hence I would buy something from them.
In contrast some home-made backyard Tan Ah Teck locally made products has to come under greater scrutiny because we are not sure of their quality… the more desperate they seem (half assed marketing) the more wary we need to be ….there are tons of Voltage Stabilizer …some use fancy naming which is totally meaningless …..choose wisely ….your life and ride is priceless ….
So all …beware of such people out there! More interesting stuff is on the way- stay tuned.
